1961–1976
The Foundation Years
Savita was incorporated by Late Mr. Nandkishore Mehra and Mr. Devichand Mehra, beginning operations at Sakinaka, Mumbai with liquid paraffin as an import substitute. We soon expanded with a second facility at Turbhe and set up India’s first private-sector R&D Centre in the petroleum industry.
1989–1998
Growth with Purpose
A new plant in Mahad, a second private R&D centre, and an ISO 9001 certification — Savita became the first Indian private petroleum company to earn this global quality standard. This decade also saw the commissioning of our fourth manufacturing unit at Kharadpada, Silvassa.
1999–2002
A Global & Green Outlook
We entered the renewable energy space by commissioning our first windmill in Maharashtra. Soon after, Savita was recognized as a Government Star Export House, exporting to over 75 countries.
2007–2022
New Identity, New Infrastructure
Launched SAVSOL, Savita own brand of lubricating oils. We also set up a fully automated state-of-the-art manufacturing unit at Silvassa to manufacture the full range of specialty oils.
2023
India’s First Ester Plant in Lubricants
Established synthetic Ester Plant at Mahad, Maharashtra – First Company to set up its own Ester manufacturing plant in Lubricating Oil segment in India
2024
Breakthrough tech Unstoppable performance
Launched ‘SAVSOL Ester5’ lubricants range and ‘TRANSOL Synth’ in the synthetic ester based insulating fluid range for transformers. Also introduced Sidharth Malhotra as brand ambassador
